Kenya

The hornbill is one of the most iconic species in the tropical rainforest of Borneo (Sabah and Sasrawak, Malaysia). We have been fortunate to see different species of hornbills during our time in Asia.
The Iban tribe (biggest tribe of Sarawak) calls this bird Kenyalang and has an important role in ceremonies.

Creating a lot of texture and painted with Amsterdam & Amsterdam Expert acrylics and varnish from Royal Talens on 50 x 60 cm stretched canvas and mounted in a floating frame making the picture 55 x 65 cm in total.
